Lots of hard work at the allotment as i have dismantled Brian's old chicken shed, ready to put it up on my plot, but just eaten the first apple off my own tree and enjoying a can of pop donated by my new plot neighbour and friend, Patrick the Posh Irishman. Picked the last of the toms, peppers, chilis and runner beans; the shed's full of onions and spuds and there's still parsnips, salsify and scorzonera in the ground. Not a bad year all told...
